Project Stable Home, at Children’s Institute, Inc. in Los Angeles, will promote the safety, permanency, and well-being of children ages birth to three who are at risk of abandonment due to maternal substance abuse, AIDS/HIV, mental illness, and/or prior child abuse and neglect. The AIA program will enhance child safety, residential permanence, and well-being, through expanding mothers’ capacity to provide for the child.  PSH combines intensive home visits with referrals to partner programs and utilization of CII‘s center-based services. It builds on a foundation of evidence-based services, innovative outreach approaches, community partnerships, coordinated services, and university affiliations.
