Description:
The project serves cocaine and other drug using women, who may be HIV+ and who are pregnant or have given birth to drug-exposed and/or HIV positive children.  Intensive outpatient treatment services, life skills development, and aftercare/follow up services are provided for residential women.  Great Starts provides housing for up to six months for a minimum of 22 women and 37 children, from birth through 10 years of age.  Therapeutic nursery services are provided for drug-exposed infants, toddlers, and preschool age children.
