This program serves children who are at risk of out of home placement due to parent's substance abuse or HIV/AIDS status. Emergency assistance/concrete services, home-based family intervention assessments, individual and family counseling targets risk and protective factors. Support will include linkages to recreational activities to aid in family cohesion. The program, a replication of the Family Connection Model developed by the University of Maryland, will work within the context of the clients home and neighborhoods and is targeted to service, at least, 160  families.
